New HR Director at Brighthouse as growth continues

Rent-to-own retailer Brighthouse has appointed Nick Worrall as its new Director of Human Resources (HR) as the company continues its ambitious expansion strategy in the UK.
Reporting directly to CEO Leo McKee, Worrall arrives from British Gas Heating Services where he held the same job title.
His career to date also includes HR roles at National Grid and Barclays, and he believes he is joining Brighthouse at “a significant time” for the business.
Earlier this year Brighthouse announced that its revenues for the 13 weeks to December 31st 2010 totalled £57.4 million, which was an increase of 13.7 per cent year-on-year and in stark contrast to much of the retail industry which struggled towards the end of the year.
Speaking to Retail Gazette at the time, McKee said that he was confident the business will announce double digit growth for the full 2010/11 financial year this spring and add 30 new stores and create hundreds of jobs in the 2011/12 fiscal period.
Commenting on the latest appointment, the CEO remarked: “I am delighted Nick has agreed to join Brighthouse.
“The people agenda is pivotal to our growth strategy - we must have the right quality and quantity of colleagues to deliver effectively across the estate. Nick will lead that people strategy, and I wish him every success in doing so.”
