Cadogan Estates has announced plans to improve and strengthen Sloane Street as an international luxury retail destination.

The five year plan, which was announced last night, will review all aspects of Sloane Street in the coming months including traffic flow and will focus on attracting and retaining the international market in the wake of increased competition from Bond Street. Cadogan Estates, which owns property in and around Chelsea, say they will be committed to Britishness during the scheme.

Hugh Seaborn, CEO of Cadogan Estates commented: “Sloane Street has been long established as the place to be seen when shopping in London for its brands, enviable location and sense of style and history. We are also delighted to be working with Harpers Bazaar, who reflect the values of Sloane Street.”

The world famous street, which contains retail space from Tom Ford, Fendi and Louis Vuitton, will feature on-street Sloane Street ambassadors in two or three weeks. The ambassadors will provide a five star concierge service in Russian, Mandarin and English to an international shopper base.

Other initiatives include creating an alliance of retailers to share intelligence and combine resources to enhance the areas customer experience.
