The world‘s first pop-up mall Boxpark Shoreditch has joined forces with Magento and PayPal to offer a buying and browsing experience for consumers across offline and online platforms.

Boxpark Marketplace features a fully integrated POS system in which retailers can engage with consumers from multiple touch points. PayPal will power the initiative‘s transactions through cashless transactions, both online and offline, for Boxpark customers.

“Omnichannel solutions have been rolled out on High Street, but until now small independent retailers have been unable to offer costly omnichannel solutions,” said Roger Wade, CEO of Boxpark. “Boxpark Marketplace allows small independents to have a sophisticated omnichannel solution with little or no set up costs. They just need an iPad or tablet and they are up and running.”

Boxpark, which is made of recycled shipping containers, offers ‘low risk retailing‘ to around 60 brands and has attracted independent retailers and big names such as Nike and Carphone Warehouse since it was founded in 2011.
