Chilled dairy foods company Diary Crest has renewed it contract to supply milk to UK supermarket chain Morrisons.

The new milk contract will run until 2015 and cements the company’s position as the leading dairy products supplier in the country.

Dairy Crest buys milk from around 1,300 dairy farmers, the majority of whom are in the south of England, and currently delivers to other supermarkets including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Marks & Spencer.

Toby Brinsmead, Managing Director of Dairy Crest’s Liquid Products business, commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded this extension to our contract with Morrisons.

“We believe our clear focus on quality, service and cost puts us in a good position in a very competitive market.”

Other products manufactured by Cathedral City cheddar cheese, Clover spread, Country Life butter and Frijj milkshakes.
