A new TV broadcast is being launched today by department store retailer Debenhams.
Debenhams TV went live this morning on Debenhams.com and the retailer predicts that it should attract 1.5 million views in its first week based on current site traffic.
Programmes will focus on topics including featured seasonal products, fashion shows & launches, beauty advice and expert opinions from celebrity commentators.
Simon Foster, Debenhams Online Trading Director, said: “Our online TV channel is a brilliant way for our customers to get style and beauty advice, see the latest fashions and just be entertained!
“You can see it on our website, through our iPhone app, on YouTube and coming soon - in our stores.”
By using the website’s click and buy system, viewers will be able to purchase items featured on the channel as they watch.
Launch content includes discussions on key seasonal dilemmas for consumers such as what bra size your wife might be, or what is the perfect gift for Christmas.
Famous designers already interviewed for Debenhams TV include Ben de Lisi, Henry Holland and Matthew Williamson.
