Former Head of UK Operations for Marks & Spencer Mark Lawrence, and experienced retail manager Richard Tucker have been snapped up by unique delivery company Collect+ as it continues to grow.

It was announced today that Lawrence has been appointed as Customer Services Director, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain sector.

The new recruit will focus on development of all aspects of operations and service, according to the Collect+ statement.

Tucker, who has accrued a wealth of experience working with companies such as WHSmith and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, will concentrate on continuing the development of the company’s retail partnerships and the expansion of new relationships within 3PL, fulfillment, outsourcing and multichannel commerce.

Reflecting on the new appointments, CEO of the company Mark Lewis said: “We’re delighted to have them on board and look forward to working together to widen the Collect+ proposition, bringing real convenience and choice to the home delivery sector.”

Collect+ was founded in February 2009 as a joint venture between Yodel and Pay Point, and the organisation allows online shoppers to collect and return parcels via local corner shops.

Operating through a network of 3,500 carefully placed Pay Point Stores seven days a week, the company has ensured that 75 per cent of the urban UK populations lives within a mile of these Collect+ sites, and the service now boasts 40,000 users a week.
