This year’s Pro-retail show, hosted by independent and national wholesaler Palmer & Harvey (P&H), is set to look into how innovation is changing the way independent shops are managed.
Future technology and new initiatives designed to show “best in-class retailing practice” will be showcased during the event, which takes place between Tuesday May 10th and Wednesday May 11th at the International Centre in Telford.
Retail guru and start of makeover show Mary Queen of Shops, Mary Portas, will also be in attendance alongside other industry experts and members from the P&H team.
P&H’s main fascia Mace will be present to show off its Mace Food to go concept, which is currently being rolled out across the UK.
Richard Hayhoe, P&H Marketing Director, commented: “We know it’s a commitment for retailers to take time out from the shop floor and we’re keen to add as much value as we can to the show floor for Pro-retail visitors.
“Pro-retail is a great chance to meet suppliers and network with other retailers, and our initiatives have been planned to complement this by delivering insight and learning on product and consumer trends that visitors can take back and implement in their businesses.”
The 2010 event gave attendees the opportunity to “health check” their business at the newly created Retail Fitness Zone, while visitors were also able to benefit from a range of expert advice.
With more than 220 leading suppliers and manufacturers present every year, the show typically attracts over 6,500 visitors.
