Warren Greatrex has today been appointed as the new Operations Manager for Birmingham-based shopping centre The Pallasades.
Previously the Retail Liaison Manager for the Crowngate Shopping Centre in Worcester, Greatrex has more than 15 years of retail experience and has spent over a decade working within operations and facilities management.
His new remit will including maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for shoppers whilst the redevelopment of the site takes place.
Jonathan Cheetham, General Manager of The Pallasades, commented: “Warren has come on board during a key period for The Pallasades and I am looking forward to working with him to face the challenges ahead, delivering our ongoing commitment to ensure the centre becomes a prime shopping location in Birmingham.”
As part of a wider generation of the adjoining Birmingham New Street train station, The Pallasades is undertaking a significant facelift which will bring new retailers into the shopping centre.
Birmingham city centre has been transformed in the last decade into one of the major retail centres in the UK but, as a recent visit by Retail Gazette to the area revealed, The Pallasades remains an unattractive exception to the rule.
“This is an extremely exciting time for The Pallasades and the regeneration of the centre is of great interest to a vast number of people,” Greatrex added.
“I am very proud to be part of the project and believe the next few years will be very rewarding.”
