Amanda Metcalfe has today been announced as the new Director of Fashion Inventory and Assortment at global e-tailer eBay.
Joining from designer discount website Cocosa.com, where she was Marketing Director, Metcalfe started in her role with eBay at the beginning of this week.
With her extensive multichannel retail experience eBay hopes that this appointment will help it further improve its fashion offering.
Miriam Lahage, eBay’s General Manager for Fashion, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Amanda to eBay.
“She brings with her a wealth of knowledge, dynamism and experience and is extremely well positioned to drive greater customer engagement and innovation into what is already our fastest growing category.”
Metcalfe started her career at Selfridges in the mid 1990s working on the brand’s re-launch before moving on to Laura Ashley and then holding several senior positions at Debenhams.
Before joining Cocosa she held the Marketing Director role at two other online fashion retailers, discount fashion site Koodos.com and luxury fashion e-tailer My-wardrobe.com.
Lahage added: “Amanda’s appointment further strengthens our existing team of fashion retail experts and I look forward to working with her as we continue to re-shape the fashion experience on eBay.”
