Telecommunications firm Everything Everywhere has this week announced its new management team, as the incoming CEO seeks to ensure the company’s smooth transition from integration to delivery.
The ten executives will report to Olaf Swantee, who took over the senior position this week and plans to implement changes promised at the time of his appointment in July.
While many members of the new team come from within the company, there were a number of external appointments made, while five executives from the previous management team will leave the company, including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Deputy CEO Richard Moat.
In a joint statement, Tim Höttges, Chairman of the Everything Everywhere board and CFO of Deutsche Telekom, and Gervais Pellissier, member of the Everything Everywhere board and Deputy CEO, Finance of France Telecom, expressed their gratitude for Moat’s work at the company.
“We would also like to thank Richard Moat for the role that he played as CFO and deputy CEO for Everything Everywhere,” the statement said.
“Richard was a highly valued member of the former management team and was instrumental in ensuring a rapid integration between Orange and T-Mobile.
“We wish him all the best for the future.”
The pair also offered congratulations to Swantee, who, prior to his appointment had worked as France Telecom’s Executive Vice President for Operations in Europe (except France), worked with Orange since 2007 and been a board member at Everything Everywhere since its inception.
The telecoms company was set up following the merger of Orange and T Mobile last year, and posted a revenue growth of 1.5 per cent year-on-year after only nine months.
By the end of 2011, the business plans to have opened a further 30 new outlets in the UK, boosting its store portfolio to 750.
It is hoped that the new management will propel the company’s profits and support its developing strategy.
Commenting on the role of the new leadership team, Swantee praised the talent of both existing colleagues and new faces.
“The structure of the team is function oriented with clear accountability so we can accelerate the execution of our key plans and priorities,” he explained.
“I am committed to the established business goals and financial targets – as well as to running a responsible and sustainable business.”
