Airline passengers will be able to pre-order their food online before they arrive at Yo! Sushi for the first time in June 2014.

The launch coincides with the opening of a new restaurant at Heathrow Terminal 2 at the same time and ensures their order will be ready for takeaway as soon as they come through security.

The restaurant currently has 65 UK and 11 international restaurants and will showcase a range of set menus to give passengers the option of a wellness meal – meaning customers can see the optimum amount of nutrition before getting on a long haul flight.

Serving up more than 80 different dishes on YO! Sushi‘s conveyor belt, travellers will be able to choose from a range of Japanese inspired items including hot or cold items like Sesame Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Katsu Curry and Kaiso Salad.

Alison Vickers, Business Development Director at YO! Sushi said: “We are delighted to be expanding our Heathrow offering as our existing site in Terminal 3 has been a key factor to the success of the brand in the UK. Our fun, fresh and fast menu options are proving a hit with international passengers who are strapped for time so our Terminal 2 restaurant design and service reflects this.”

Muriel Zingraff, Heathrow Retail Director said: “YO! Sushi‘s work to develop an offer specific to passengers about to fly has been impressive. They have a refreshing approach to healthy eating which we felt suited Heathrow‘s work to transform the dining experience for travellers.”
