Iconic American brand, Original Penguin, have opened their second store in Scotland. The lifestyle brand, which was founded in 1955, have launched their new store in Glasgow‘s popular Silverburn centre.

Original Penguin have been enjoying increasing popularity in the UK, no doubt thanks endorsement from celebrities including Brad Pitt and the Arctic Monkeys. They are particularly well known for their golf shirts which have been worn by stars such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.

Commenting on the opening of Original Penguin at Silverburn, David O‘Neil, leasing executive at Hammerson, said: “Silverburn is characterised by its ability to appeal to consumers from throughout the region, hence it is a fantastic location for Original Penguin‘s second Scottish store. The brand is a key addition to the already excellent retailing experience that Silverburn provides. Original Penguin will drive footfall and joins a significant list of well-known brands in selecting Silverburn for new stores.”

The new 1,205 square foot site has opened adjacent to Debenhams
