A new weekday cookery television programme was launched on Monday at 10am.

An extension from the popular Channel Four show ‘Sunday Brunch‘, ‘Daily Brunch‘ with online supermarket Ocado, offers its audience a mixture of recipes and regular TV items, keeping with the Sunday Brunch style alongside celebrity guests. Ocado and Channel Four have managed to secure the Sunday Brunch hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer who will lead the show as an extension of the weekend show rather then a spin off series. Their participation is also important in order to show they support the decision and what to be part of it.

Channel Four head of formats Dom Bird comments: “We look forward to welcoming Tim and Simon onto Channel 4 from Monday to Friday to give current fans and a whole new audience a weekday serving of Daily Brunch with Ocado”.

Ocado is a dedicated online grocery supermarket and British independent business that has won countless consumer awards. This new partnership will promote the brand on an extra platform as well as being associated with an entertainment show that is relevant to the brand‘s concept and customers.

Ocado is not the only grocery supplier to team up with Channel Four, another hour long show with a similar format called ‘Weekend with Waitrose‘ includes recipes and celebrity chefs. Presented by Lisa Snowdon and Steve Jones these supermarket, food based shows are popular amongst television viewers and directly promotes their proud sponsors. We wonder how many other retailer will follow suit by partnering up with television producers.
