High street toy retailer The Entertainer has announced the recent appointment of Mark Campbell as Finance Director. Campbell will be working closely with the senior management team and have Board level responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of the high street toy group.
Campbell originally trained with independent assurance, tax and advisory firm, Grant Thornton, and subsequently spent 15 years at B&Q where he held a variety of senior roles working across all areas of the retail business and latterly as Director of Business Performance.
Commenting on the appointment, Gary Grant, founder and Managing Director of The Entertainer, said: “We are delighted that Mark has joined The Entertainer. His expert knowledge and experience of managing the financial functions within the retail environment will be invaluable in ensuring we continue to deliver an efficient, first class service to our customers in a time of rapid growth.”
The Entertainer was founded by husband and wife team Gary and Catherine Grant in 1981. In recent years it has experienced strong growth and as a multichannel retailer it now has 104 high street stores across the UK.
