British footwear and clothing brand Dr. Martens is hoping to make a big impact with the opening of a new flagship store on Oxford Street.

The new store on the UK‘s busiest high street will be the retailer‘s first to trade across three floors and will feature wall elevations telling the story of the brand from the 1960s to the present.

Dr. Martens Global Marketing Director Simon Jobson said: “When people come to London, they want to go home with something that captures the city and is idiosyncratic to the UK; Dr. Martens fits the bill perfectly because it‘s all about culture, music and history. Our Oxford Street store will bring this history and atmosphere to a big, global audience.”

The flagship will stock the full range of Dr. Martens footwear, clothing and accessories along with the brand‘s Made In England collection.

To celebrate the opening of the shop, customers will have the chance to attend a series of free events throughout September.

The brand now has 22 stores across the UK, with Dr. Martens renowned boots selling in 75 countries worldwide.
