The largest online grocer worldwide, Ocado, is teaming up with the renowned strategic IT service provider, Questers.

The partnership follows the grocer‘s decision to continue its focus into technology schemes to help it grow and broaden its reach into new markets, while delivering an innovative platform to consumers. The new venture will allow the retailer to continue to concentrate on and invest in the strategic expansion of its software development arm – Ocado Technology.

The strategic partner for Ocado‘s software development project was chosen in the hope that Questers depth of knowledge, understanding and expertise in multi-location management would boost Ocado‘s growth.

Ocado receives more than 170,000 orders weekly, and ships over 1.3m items a day. The online grocer started shipping orders in 2002, and over the past 13 years has been engaged in a continual process of rapid innovation. It has promised to “constantly [push] the limits of what technology can do” said Alexander Drangajov, CEO of Questers.

“We are delighted to announce this new agreement with one of the world‘s most progressive companies. This is not a typical near-shore resourcing project, but a long term strategic partnership with Ocado Technology to grow a highly skilled tech operation and effectively deliver cutting edge solutions” added Drangajov .
