The CFO of Thomas Pink, Andrew Merriman, has stepped down from the shirt maker and joined upmarket athleisure brand Sweaty Betty.

Merriman was appointed Chief Financial Officer of LVMH-owned Thomas Pink in 2013 following his exit from Gieves & Hawkes. He was tasked with growing the shirt maker‘s presence overseas.

It‘s this sort of expertise that will put him in good stead at Sweaty Betty. The British retailer was founded in London’s Notting Hill 15 years ago and now has 40 stores in the UK. It recently appointed veteran retail consultant Erika Serow as President and CEO of the brand’s US business. Her role will become effective on January 18th and marks the start of the company‘s ambitious push into the States.

Merriman‘s move, as reported by The Telegraph, was made quietly. He replaces Mark Smith who was CFO at the upmarket fashion retailer from December 2011 – August 2015. Smith left the husband-and-wife run business to join casual dining chain Pho, another family-run business.

Thomas Pink will name its new chief financial officer in January.
