As part of London Wine Week, and to show off its increasingly impressive selection, Aldi has opened a pop-up wine store in Shoreditch‘s Boxpark.

The official supermarket sponsor for the event, Aldi‘s popup will be open until 28 May, and will feature 20 wines to ‘try before you buy‘.

“What better time to trial a dedicated wine store than during London Wine Week,” said Tony Baines, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying at Aldi.

It is a testament to Aldi‘s expanding offering. Aldi‘s foray into ecommerce began with the opening of a wine e-store in early 2016. One in every 13 bottles of wine sold in the UK now come from Aldi, and in 2015 the company has won a number of awards for its range, including several at the International Wine and Spirit Competition and the International Wine Challenge.

The popup will also feature master-classes for customers wishing to increase their knowledge of wine, including advice on pairings. ‘Master of Wine‘ Sam Caporn will be available to speak to visitors and tablets will also be present for customers wanting to make online purchases from the products on display.
