Holland & Barrett International were formally presented with the Queen‘s Award for International Trade during a ceremony last Friday.

The widely-regarded award celebrates UK businesses leading the way in international trade, innovation and sustainable development. 

Holland & Barrett chief executive Peter Aldis was presented with the award by the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire, Timothy B Cox, before an audience of 350 staff at its Nuneaton head office.

The Queen‘s Award flag will now fly  from Holland & Barrett‘s headquarters for the next five years and the health and wellness retailers is permitted to display the award emblem across their range of stationery, advertising, staff uniforms and on product packaging in the UK and internationally.

“We are honoured to be presented with this, the most prestigious award for businesses in the UK,” Aldis said.

“We have enjoyed remarkable growth overseas these past few years through investing in acquisitions and our franchise business model.

We have seen that, across all territories, consumers value British expertise and trust the quality of British-made products.”

Holland & Barrett has 1089 stores around the world in its portfolio.
