Shopping centre giants intu team up with DC for summer campaign

The UK’s leading shopping centre owners intu have partnered with US entertainment giant Warner Bros to bring the some of the DC’s most iconic super heroes to its 15 UK destinations.

This partnership will create a series of free family orientated events over the school holidays at 15 of its nationwide shopping centres for its 35 million customers. The activities bring some of DC’s biggest icon’s, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman official costumed characters to shopping centres across the UK for the first time.

These characters will engage in meet and greets with families, and engage with the shopping centres’ kid’s clubs by encouraging the members to search for the villains hidden within the centre.

“It’s been fantastic working with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to bring the power of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to life in a way that’s unique with this campaign in the UK and is certain to attract more families into our centres and help all our retailers to flourish over the summer," intu commercial and digital director Trevor Pereira said.

The campaign dubbed "DC Super Hero Summer" will run throughout the summer until September 2 and take place in all the companies’ outlets including intu Trafford Centre, intu Lakeside and intu Metrocentre.
