Tesco‘s three former executives facing charges of fraud have pleaded not guilty in Westminster Magistrates court.

Following an ongoing investigation by the Serious Fraud Office, the three former senior staff members have denied charges of fraud by abuse of position and false accounting.

Carl Rogberg,49, John Scouler, 48 and Chris Bush, 50 appeared in Westminster Magistrates Court today for a preliminary hearing after being accused of fraud by failing to correct inflated figures the supermarket published.

The controversial scandal saw Tesco‘s profits inflated by £326 million in 2014.

Currently released on bail, the trio are called to Southwark Crown Court on October 20 for a plea hearing.
