Job Description

This UK business is looking for an individually with a proven sale experience to effectively manage, develop and recruit specific key accounts within food in this wholesale business.

Reporting into the Sales Director you will oversee the development existing and new customers for the business.

The business has recently invested heavily in this business area and the regional depots to create an environment to encourage the highest standards of customer service, competitve prices & ranges.

In this position you responsibilities include:

  • Build effective relationship with new and existing customers
  • To deliver on the key account area sales and income plan against the costs
  • understanding of promotions and exclusives to drive sales
  • project manage the end-to-end and on-boarding process
  • Managing a potential customer database for the territory
  • Look at developing future sales growth for existing customers as customer loyalty
  • Providing ongoing assistants for customers as a point of contact when needed
  • Building a great network of industry contacts
  • Managing a potential customer database for the territory
  • Monitoring customer performance and facilitating improvement as required, in conjunction with the team
  • To retain and grow existing accounts for other large customers, including other wholesale

To be successful in the position you must have -

  • Key account management experience ideally in food
  • Ideally have worked for another wholesale business will be desirable but not essential
  • Full driving license - this does cover accounts nationwide so being based in the Midlands will be ideal.
  • Customer focused individual & can show evidence of this from your career history
  • Business development focused - has experience of dealing with cold as well as warm clients
