Job Description

This leading FMCG food business is currently enjoying year on year growth, through innovative NPD and significant investment in advertising both above and below the line. Due to this growth there is now a need to secure a Category Manager who will be responsible for Grocery accounts. Reporting to the Head of Category Management you will develop an understanding of your category and its dynamics as quickly as possible. You will be expected to develop category management tools and processes to gain a competitive advantage. As the Category Manager, your will also be expected to: * Champion key initiatives for the Head of Category Management. * Develop the category to achieve Top 10 brand status. * Conduct category analysis ensuring optimum category growth. * Be the expert on all things to do with the retail customer you are assigned to, leveraging all available data sources, including Kantar and IRI. * Ensure optimal fixtures, ranges and merchandising plans are deployed within your designated customer. * Drive the relationship with your designated retail customers. * Present commercial, category arguments to retailers. To be considered it's essential you have in-depth category management experience from an FMCG environment, which could be across food or non-food categories. You must be able to demonstrate creativity and the necessary ambition to progress your career. It's also essential you have previous experience driving category growth with grocers/multiples.
