Job Description

This blue-chip sports brand is now seeking a Retail Category Manager to join a growing commercial team in a key appointment that will play a pivotal role in business strategy and growth. You will play an integral role in building compelling strategies and plans which are underpinned by first class analysis and insight. It is imperative that you are capable of not only providing insights but using them to influence and persuade internal and external parties through well thought out commercial arguments. You will be expected to develop a more focused approach to category insights and find ways of best leveraging your portfolio. A key part of your role will be to provide timely and actionable, category, consumer shopper insights for the business to a wide variety of internal and external data sources. Other key areas of the role will be to: * Develop, evolve and implement category vision and drivers. * Work with commercial innovation streams to maximise category opportunity. * Develop a comprehensive knowledge and insight bank to be used as a resource pool for the business. In order to apply and be successful in your application, you will already have gained extensive commercial experience working within an FMCG team which you could have gained within an agency or a manufacturer environment. You should also have excellent analytical skills and be able to demonstrate examples of where you have converted analysis into actionable insights and engaging presentations. Finally you will also have experience working with data agency tools such as Dunnhumby, LMG, TNS or Retail Link.
