Job Description

This well known consumer products business is currently seeking an Operations Controller to be based in the North West. As Operations Controller you will be responsible for controlling all areas of customer operations, to include supply chain, forecasting, delivery and the correct adherence to service levels. Due to constantly evolving internal processes and a requirement to stay in line with the ever-changing retail environment this new role has been created to ensure customer demands are being met on time and in budget. It will be your role to ensure that cost efficiencies are achieved, and cohesion between the different operational areas is strived for following a recent transitional period. Your key areas of responsibility will be as follows: * Lead and manage the Import team, ensuring the coordination of product launch to UK & Export markets, and that products are given correct approval. * Ensure the correct usage by the teams of the SAP system. * Lead and manage the Supply chain function, overseeing all areas from forecasting, vendor enquiries, purchase orders, despatch and shipments. * Provide guidance and support to the Customer Operations Manager, ensuring the consumer helpdesk is achieving required SLA targets. In order to apply and be successful you will need to have the following experience: * Ideally have worked in a consumer product environment rather than services. * Proven managerial experience. * Have worked in Senior Customer Services roles. * Capable working under pressure, and to tight deadlines. * Experienced in SAP. As this is a newly created role you will work closely with the MD whilst being given the autonomy to make decisions and implement strategy across the operational function.
