Job Description

This leading and long established global FMCG business, with internationally recognised brands, is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a tailored Supply Chain innovation strategy to support Customers growth ambitions and ensure these are built into the joint Business Plan. - Close communication with Customer Demand/Demand planners and factories to ensure the demand and supply is balanced. - Continuous development of quality relationships with manufacturing plants, third party contractors and customers. - Ensuring the timely and cost effective replenishment of stock from UK and European production site through to the businesses third party warehouse. - Inventory Management - ongoing safety stock review, stock reconciliations and management of shelf life/stock at risk. - Demand Control - the tracking of abnormal demand and management of forecast consumption. - Link with global Supply Chain Manager for their account, to align local and global activities and strategy. - Working with the wider customer service team, plus planning and distribution, to initiate cost to serve solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness for both Customers and the business. You should have outstanding team working ability and excellent analytical skills with the ability to assimilate large amounts of data. You must be able to articulate results and ideas in a concise manner to both internal colleagues and external clients.
