Job Description

This leading retailer is looking for a Supply and Stock Manager to manage the national stock team to deliver optimum stock levels of product, to ensure the best possible service levels to stores, whilst keeping stock and working capital to a minimum. Your key responsibilities will include: * Responsible for the day to day management of the Supply and Stock team. * Managing stock replenishment working to service level and stockholding targets, ensuring an optimal balance between maximum availability of product to store, and minimal capital tie up in stock * Managing the range by distribution channel, reviewing leakage and sales throughput, making recommendations on how to maximise profitability and efficiency through the supply chain * Acting as main point of contact with Logistics team, and work in partnership to overcome issues and improve ways of working through management of ordering and delivery schedules, and volume throughput for all suppliers * Managing manufacturer and wholesaler supply chain relationships, working collaboratively with them to improve delivery performance, efficiently deal with issues, and come up with solutions for optimising product availability * Managing stock and availability reporting and the communication of to the business, commentating on issues, detailing actions to be taken, and escalating supplier issues to the buyers where necessary * Providing administrative and analytical support to the buyers To be considered you must: * Have Stock Management experience (referred) * Have detailed systems knowledge * Have good analytical skills§ Ability to challenge and influence * Have the ability to train and evaluate * Be highly IT literate * Be able work on your own initiative and as part of a team * Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines * Have the ability to work cross functionally
