Job Description

This established FMCG food business, with globally recognised brands, is currently recruiting for a Demand Planner. The main purpose of the role will be to drive accuracy of the short term demand forecast for a specific range of customers across all categories. You will also support the long term, unconstrained demand forecast process. As the Demand Planner, you will also be responsible for: * Delivering a robust and accurate forecast for products within the Business Team portfolio * Developing supply strategies for individual titles that meet agreed SLA’S * Working with Sales, Trade Marketing and Category Marketing to evaluate impact of promotions and base run rate changes on the demand forecast in order to maximise customer service * Validating, challenging and modelling assumptions on future SKU level volume and production * Delivering an understanding of base and incremental forecasts to the larger business team * Direct liaison with customers to assess short term volume fluctuations to forecast * Supporting long term forecasting process using statistical models, marketing intelligence, customer dynamics To be successful in your application you must ideally have had exposure to a supply and demand planning role within an FMCG environment. You should possess outstanding team-working ability and excellent analytical skills with the ability to assimilate large amounts of data. You will be able to articulate results and ideas in a concise manner to both internal colleagues and external clients. Working experience using systems (Manugistics, SAP reporting/Planning programmes) would be an advantage.
