Job Description

This leading FMCG business is looking for a Customer Demand Planner to join its Logistics department. The main purpose of this role is to take complete ownership of the Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) process for a major retailer account. In addition you will: * Ensure suppliers and planning systems are aligned to reduce cost whilst maintaining high level of service. * Work closely with other demand planners to improve forecast accuracy and forecast bias. * Ensure all key promotions are maintained accurately within the database. * Attend key customer supply chain trade meetings as and when required and to be first point in developing key relationships with the wider customer team. * Be the key point of contact for all planning or distribution related matters. * Identify gaps in store availability, producing plans to rectify these gaps. * Pay close attention to KPIs i.e. Forecast bias, Forecast Accuracy, Service level * Drive the CPFR Process with the customer. * Attend monthly collaborative forecasting meetings to drive alignment * Highlight risks to supply and define contingencies. * Track sales daily and manage changes to forecast * Define supplier action in light of any DC to store issues. * Perform quarterly joint review of performance, with supply chain and commercial teams. The successful individual will have strong communication skills, with an ability to express ideas, plans & priorities in a concise manner at all levels. You will need good influencing and negotiating skills. Proven track record in the use of SAP systems would be ideal. Demand planning experience is essential and FMCG experience is preferred.
