Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and enthusiastic Designer to join the Homewares team, working for a major retailer based in the East Midlands. This role will initially be to cover maternity leave. As part of the design team you shall cover a variety of products including Wall Art & Stationary and will report into the Senior Designer. As Designer, your responsibilities will include: * Following through all product development with both the buyers and suppliers. * Producing mood boards to show overall vision of your area as well as key design influences such as colour, shapes and style. * Researching trends within the Market to influence graphic designs. * Working closely with Buyers and technical teams to ensure your designs meet the required look and standard. To be successful, you will have: * A degree, or equivalent, within a relevant field such as Graphics. * Experience designing homewares, working within a Head Office environment; this can be from either a retail or supplier background. * Knowledge of relevant packages, such as PhotoShop and Illustrator. * A Strong eye for product. * The ability to work on both individual and team tasks.
