Job Description

Due to a dramatic growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Business Development Manager to join the UK Business Development Team of a world renowned market research agency. Within this role, you will play an essential role for contributing much of the growth that the company is targeting for in 2013. This role will offer exposure to insights, new business and development of existing business. You will also be working with their extensive list of well acknowledged branded manufacturers, plus have the opportunity to create and elevate this impressive collection of names with new potential clients - It does not get more challenging or rewarding than this. Key tasks and responsibilities: * Generate revenue against an existing client base and develop new business, supported by the Client Insights Managers. * Building relationships and helping businesses to achieve their goals with market leading insights solutions. * Strengthening current relationships and identify additional stakeholders. * Manage the provision of data and insights to your clients with the help of an Insight Manager. * Identifying the suitability of the Products and Services. * Maintaining the sales pipeline up-to-date, renewing client contracts, forecasting and fulfilling internal reporting as required. * Collaborating with key support functions within the company: Global Operating Centre; Client Service; Business Insights; Analytics; Technology Services Group; Helpdesk; Finance. * Exposed to very senior people within the client’s organisation – collaborating and communicating data. Skills and Behaviours required: * Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. * Proficient knowledge of data. * Consultative selling skills. * Ability to work effectively under pressure. * Excellent administrative skills with confident numerical background. * Confident presentational skills. * Excellent time management and confidence to engage at a senior level. This position would ideally suit someone with sound data skills who already has strong client facing experience and who is eager to exceed their targets and broaden their commercial capabilities.
