Job Description

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of UKs largest and most successful retailers as an Promotion Project Manager on Non-food. The purpose of this role is to develop the promotional plan for non-food categories adhering to corporate plan, marketing plans and other external departments. You will need to be able to work cross-functionally with departments such as buying, merchandising, marketing and logistics to ensure the delivery of the promotional calendar. You must be an excellent communicator with previous experience of working with different departments. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of managing and delivering multiple projects, whilst ensure standards are at all times maintained and KPIs and wider targets are met. As Promotions Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include: * Developing and implementing promotional strategy for the non-food category throughout the year. * Ensuring that promotional strategies reflect company goals and customer plans. * Overseeing the implementation of planned promotional activity together with the Buying, Merchandising and Marketing teams. * Providing reports and information to analyse KPI performance and promotional activity. Presenting lessons learned and trading information. * Communicating the promotional plan to the all internal and external key stakeholders - managing critical path process, ensuring that all departments are working to the desired time scales. * Visiting stores to ensure promotions are implemented correcting and reflect company plan and strategy at all times. You must have the following skills and experience: * Be educated to degree level of equivalent. * Experience of working cross-functionally and with different departments in the business. * Strong commercial awareness and knowledge. It is essential that you have previous experience working within a retail trading environment and can demonstrate the necessary level of understanding of retail trading. * Able to demonstrate a strong record in simultaneously managing multiple projects. * Knowledge of product, market and consumer behaviour. * Outstanding communication and networking skills.
