Job Description

Due to excellent year on year growth our client, a leader within the UK in supplying products to their industry is now seeking a project manager to head up the delivery of a multi million pound contract through to completion in April 2014. Upon completion of this project and due to our clients growth strategy there will the opportunity for a capable and ambitious individual to progress within the strategic projects division to be involved in various further projects including warehouse and office moves to larger sites, further acquisitions and further expansion. You will be responsible for: * Taking ownership of project and reporting to directors and senior stakeholders and enabling smooth transition of project within budget. * Inspiring individuals to work to a high standard of craftsmanship and developing a culture of accountability both internally and externally. * Maximising margins through accurate delivery, labour planning and the management of storage facilities including 3PL’s. * Customer service checks, compliance checks and installation reviews. * Succession planning both in the warehouse environment and remotely on site. * Managing health and safety for warehouse, transport and installation teams. * Delegating specific tasks to crews and monitoring performance through KPI’s. * Managing day to day operations and inventory and having a key focus on the customers requirements and demands. Skills & Experience: * Experience in logistics or project management with proven results working to timescales and budgets. * Ability to manage multiple disciplines including, transport management, people management, business process and administration, warehousing & inventory, H&S management and excellent customer service. * Drive, enthusiasm and initiative. Must be able to innovate and develop capability as well identify and implement continuous improvement. * Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact confidently with staff in all departments at all levels. * Confident leadership. Capable of taking positive charge of a large department, from trainee manual staff to senior managers.
