Job Description

The opportunity has arisen for an established Senior Merchandiser/Planner to join the head office team of this international luxury brand; working across their Accessories category. You will be joining the brand during an exciting phase of growth and will therefore be expected to play a hands on role within the team, working closely with your colleagues, to achieve a successful and profitable range. Reporting in to the Head of Merchandising you will take accountability for the following tasks: * Implementing the Merchandising/Planning strategy - driving change and innovation when needed and influencing others to make better and more commercial decisions moving forward. * Managing the OTB and taking responsibility for regular and accurate reporting. * Working closely with the Buying, Marketing and Allocation teams to ensure the most profitable range is available in the correct quantities and time frames, according to the marketing and brand calender. * Analysing previous sales data in order to identify both risks and opportunities for future seasons. * Communicating your findings to the team as well as at board level, ensuring that all colleagues are aware of what must be achieved in line with the business plan. The successful candidate will: * Currently be working as an established Merchandiser/Planner within a retail/fashion environment; ideally with International exposure. * Be educated to degree level, or equivalent, within a relevant field such as Business, Maths or Economics. * Possess strong communication skills with the ability to influence and advise others, ensuring the best business decisions are made. * Be highly analytical with the ability to translate large volumes of data in order to identify sales trends and opportunities. * Enjoy working within a product driven and quality led environment; ideally with an interest in product and trends. * Like to get involved at all levels within the team and not afraid to offer support and guidance to more junior team members. This is a fantastic role for those looking to take on a new challenge, working for a design led brand who offer their customer a luxury yet accessible product. Working within their UK Head Office you will assist with the brands International growth and become a key team player; developing a successful and progressive Merchandising/Planning team. We request that candidates send their CV as a Microsoft Word document where possible. Quest Search and Selection is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
