Job Description

This successful supplier requires a Ladies Jersey Designer to join its busy team based in the North West. You will have experience at Assistant Designer or Junior Designer level within ladies jersey from a high street fashion retailer, or key supplier to the high street. As Ladies Jersey Designer, responsibilities will include: * Leading the design process including fabric sourcing. * Researching trends within the market and using this knowledge to create inspirational and commercial designs. * Developing design ideas for product ranges as necessary. Attending meetings with customers/retailers when required. * Creating and updating spec packs and fits, working closely with the QA/technical team. To be successful, you will: * Possess a strong portfolio and previous experience designing within ladies jersey for another retailer or key supplier to the high street. * Be educated to degree level or equivalent. * Have strong computer skills and a thorough knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. * Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. * Have excellent attention to detail. * Possess passion for product as well as thorough understanding of clothing construction and manufacturing processes.
