Job Description

My client is one of the leading clothing retailers in the UK, they current have exciting opportunities for Assistant Merchandisers to join their fast-paced and highly successful fashion team. Based in their head office you will be responsible for ensuring that their clothing offer is readily available for customers and that sales are maximised through efficient and accurate forecasting and analysis. This is the perfect opportunity for an existing Assistant Merchandiser or experience Senior MAA/Senior Allocator to join a growing team with great opportunities for training and future career progression. Key duties of the Assistant Merchandiser role will include: * Updating the WSSI, lineflow and production forecasts and highlighting any issues to the merchandising team and taking required action. * Maintaining effective intake management and supplier relatonships to ensure 95% availability and launch. * Presenting findings to senior members of the team and wider business in key meetings suh as Sign Off and Reviews. * In-depth sales reporting and analysis. * Range-planning and working with the Merchandiser and Buying team to plan and build a commercial and successful range. * Supporting and mentoring a Trainee in order to aid and encourage their development. The ideal candidate will be: * Currently working at Assistant Merchandiser level within a retail head office. You will have experience across fashion categories such as ladieswear, menswear, kidswear, footwear, essentials or accessories. * Commercially astute and aware of current fashion trends. * An advanced Excel user. * Able to build strong and lasting relationships with suppliers and internal functions of the business. * Keen to progress and eager to further develop skills and behaviours to support career progression.
