Job Description

My client is a growing supplier of innovative and exciting ambient food product to major UK retailers. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst to join their head office team. This is the perfect opportunity for an existing Supply Analyst looking for a new challenge, or a candidate of graduate calibre able to demonstrate sound businesses awareness and strong numeracy and analytical skills. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Managing PO fulfilment and stock availability within agreed KPIs, whilst maximising cost saving opportunities. * Determining quantities for purchase orders through data and stock analysis. * Developing the PO process to improve efficiency (from initial PO placement through all parts of supply chain process and through to delivery). * Identifying potential supplier issues and constantly seeking to improve supplier relationships and processes from placement of purchase orders through to delivery. * Clearing stock for delivery; ensuring that the correct/necessary stock is called in as priorities against other orders. * Constantly monitoring stock-holding vs. on order and forecast. Preparing monthly stock and inventory management reports and highlighting potential issues and areas for improvement. * Providing support and assistance to the supply chain manager. Skills and experience required: * Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field; Finance, Accounting, Maths, Business Studies, Supply Chain Management etc. * Ideally experience working in similar role within FMCG/supply chain planning. * Strong numeracy and analytical skills - be able to draw conclusions and suggestions from complex data. * Computer literacy - excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programmes including Excel. Working knowledge or experience using supply chain software such as SAGE, SAP would also be beneficial. * · Communication and problem-solving.
