Discount retailer Poundland has begun the rollout of free-to-use cash machines in its UK stores.
ATM supplier Yourcash has won the contract to install a further 60 new cash machines at Poundland stores having already set up 130 of the devices in the retailer’s stores.
Poundland, which has around 300 stores across the UK, hopes to have all of its new ATMs operational by the end of the year.
Jim McCarthy, CEO of Poundland, said: “Poundland is always looking at ways to make the customer shopping experience easier and having the convenience of an ATM in store will add to this.
“Many of Poundland’s 2.5 million weekly shoppers come to the store with certain items in mind and end up leaving with bags full of our amazing value products, so having an ATM nearby is a great help.
“We are sure our customers will welcome this addition to the stores.”
Yourcash deploys more free-to-use ATMs than any other independent provider in the UK with over 1,700 machines nationally.
