Head of IT Strategy at fashion retailer Asos.com, Martin Strotton, and Waitrose’s E-Commerce Systems Manager Nigel Randall are among the retail business leaders set to speak at this year’s Box Technologies Retail Systems Forum (RSF).
Delegates will be able to participate in question and answer sessions with the sector professionals after a day of learning about the latest technology trends in the UK.
The RSF, which is now entering its 11th year, is the brainchild of Box Technologies Chairman Russell Willcox.
Scheduled for May 18th, the forum will be held at the Microsoft Conference Centre in Reading and will follow the theme “Improving Technology Decision Making for the Multichannel Retailer”.
Topics set to be discussed at this year’s gathering include how to build an IT strategy focused on today’s multichannel shopper, as well as the benefits of contactless payment technology, which many retailers such as Clinton Cards, Spar and The Co-operative are currently using.
Additionally, there will be debates focused on customer loyalty and m-commerce.
Willcox commented: “The RSF grows in popularity year after year, primarily due to our reputation within the industry but also because of the quality of our sponsors, the relevance of our speakers, content, networking opportunities etc.
“Delegates gain valuable insight, from like-minded individuals within the retail sector.
“Attendance has always been high and we expect demand to increase in 2011, given that we have speakers from leading retail companies including Vodafone, Sainsbury’s, Game and Spar, amongst others.”
