Co-operative Group is helping people get romantic this Valentine’s Day by launching a new TV food advertising campaign that advises the customer to ‘Eat In’.
The ad is produced by TBWA/Manchester, the team behind the grocer’s ‘Passionate Plea’ adverts, which call on shoppers to spend less time shopping and more time doing the things they love.
Its new offering continues along the same theme by telling customers that they can get everything they need for a romantic night in at their local store.
Fergus McCallum, CEO of TBWA\Manchester, said: “The overarching theme of the new Co-operative Food campaign is about the desire to enjoy free time doing the things that are really important and that you love.”
He added: “The latest advert follows this theme by reminding customers in a relevant and believable way to make time to do something very special and personal for a loved one this Valentine’s Day.”
The new advert will run from today until February 14th and will be backed up by in-store point of sale promotional material.
Today’s campaign launch comes just after the supermarket chain signed a 12-month sponsorship deal with ITV weather, which will give the Co-op visual and verbal branding before each of the ITV National Weather reports.
