Sales of health & beauty products at Debenhams have increased significantly in the build-up to this weekend’s Grand National in Aintree, Liverpool.
The department store group said today that demand for products ahead of Friday’s Ladies Day had resulted in extra shipments being rushed to stores around the Liverpool area in the last week.
Sales of fake tan were up 124 per cent year-on-year, while false eyelashes and lip gloss flew off the shelves at a much faster rate than the same week last year.
