Leisure and bicycle products retailer Halfords is launching a new TV ad campaign tonight to promote its products and services ahead of the forthcoming Easter and bank holiday periods.
A second advert will be launched on Saturday April 16th, helping draw attention to Halfords’ unique features such as its in-store fitting service of car parts, child seats, satellite navigation and in-car entertainment systems.
The retailer’s maintenance and assembly services for cycles will also be highlighted in the two-part campaign dubbed ‘That’s Helpful That’s Halfords’.
It is the first major Halfords advertising drive since Gerry Murphy was named Group Brand Director at the start of 2011.
Murphy will have drawn on his experiences from his time at Superdrug and Matalan, where he held the roles of Marketing Director and Head of Marketing respectively.
Murphy said he was really excited about the new marketing drive and explained it is a “simple concept” that will appeal to consumers.
“The campaign is part of our strategic commitment to our customers around delivering helpful products and services in our stores and Autocentres everyday,” he added.
“We want to be famous for being helpful through our great deals, quality products and in particular our unique and helpful services such as ‘wefit’, ‘webuild’ and ‘weassemble’.”
