Designer nursery brand Mamas & Papas is set to open a new store at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow on Saturday May 21st, and in a unique move there will be six spaces reserved for the retailer’s shoppers in the centre’s car park.
Those visiting the outlet, which will be the first to open in Glasgow city centre and the seventh store in Scotland overall, will be able to benefit from parking spots close to the shop, making the transaction process easier for expectant mothers in particular.
Angela Duncan, General Manager of the new St Enoch Centre store, commented: “We are delighted that visitors to our store will have dedicated spaces in St Enoch’s car park.
“This is a unique concept and will mean that expectant mothers won’t have far to walk to access the store.
“It will also help our customers when collecting large or heavy items and assist with any special requirements such as the fitting of car seats.”
Half a dozen parking spaces will be made available for those visiting the new 4,255 sq ft store, which is expected to become a major part of the shopping centre’s family offering in the months to come.
Neil Hockin, a director at Lunson Mitchenall, St Enoch Centre’s newly appointed joint leasing agents with Eric Young & Co, said: “Mamas & Papas is fast-becoming a retailer to watch so it’s a coup for St Enoch to have secured its first Glasgow city-centre store.
“Once opened, Mamas & Papas will sit alongside existing retailer Hamleys and complement the centre’s strong family-focused tenant mix which we are looking to build upon in the coming months.”
Mamas and Papas has more than 50 stores across the UK, including outlets in Aberdeen’s Union Square and The Quarry in Edinburgh.
