World famous fashion designer Donatella Versace has today been confirmed as a guest designer at retailer H&M as part of a new autumn range of clothing.
Taking inspiration from the vibrant heritage of the prestigious Versace brand, the designer has created a collection which will focus on leather, print, colour and exuberance at high street prices.
From November 17th 2011 the Versace range will be available at around 300 H&M stores worldwide and also online at the retailer’s transactional websites.
Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Director at H&M, said: “Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant - everything Versace stands for.
“Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives.
“This is such a celebratory collaboration and it is perfect for the party season.”
Versace is just the latest designer to release a discount range at the high street retailer, following the likes of Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo and most recently Lanvin.
Founded in 1978 by Donatella’s late brother Gianni Versace, the fashion house has since become synonymous with exclusive and distinctive style.
A pre-spring collection has also been prepared by the label for the retailer and will be exclusively available in countries with H&M transactional sites from January 12th 2012.
Versace added: “I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience.
“The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.”
