Bed retailer Dreams has appointed Mike Logue as its new Chief Executive Officer as it seeks to recover from recent administration.

Logue, who was formerly managing director at Mothercare, Asda and Gamestation, said that he was looking forward to the role.

Logue said: “Dreams is a fantastic brand and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the company forward at this exciting stage and build upon the solid foundations that have been laid by the management team.”

Commenting on the appointment, Chief Financial Officer Kim Zaheer, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Mike to Dreams. He brings with him a huge amount of both retail and operational expertise and we very much look forward to working with him.”

Dreams was bought by private equity firm Sun Capital in March this year with 1,600 jobs being saved as part of the deal.
