Building and construction supplying giant Travis Perkins has launched a new responsive website which focuses on a more visual approach to retailing.

The firm, which stocks bricks, cement and paint, has also adopted a “robust analytics framework” to enable the easy tracking of delivery against KPI‘s across the firm.

Norman Bell, Strategy and IT Director at Travis Perkins said the site was a much “clearer reflection” of the people behind the business.

The news comes as Travis Perkins plans to double its apprenticeship numbers in its sales team to 138 in 2014 as HR director Carol Kavanagh refuted claims that a housing market bubble would make the company more cautious around recruitment.

“Regardless of the housing market, our company and the tradesmen and businesses it serves need to nurture the next generation of talent,” she said,

The new site was delivered by technology consultancy Amaze.
