Luxury Menswear e-tailer Mr Porter has announced a collaboration with Swedish fashion brand Cos for a travel-ready spring collection, due to roll out in stores later this month.

The 23-piece collection will feature a contemporary range of men‘s clothing, tailoring, outwear, footwear and accessories. The multi-occasion inspired pieces will be available from May 7 on Mr Porter‘s website and in 14 Cos stores worldwide, including Regent Street, Covent Garden and Westfield London. Head Designer of Cos, Martin Andersson, cites that the collaboration will open the H&M-owned brand opens it into new markets.

The designs have been created for the frequent diverse traveller who needs a wardrobe that serves multiple purposes and occasions. The collection will serve the fashion-forward consumers of both Cos, who are known for their trend-hitting minimal designs, and Mr Porter, the high-end fashion child of Net-a-Porter.

“We wanted to create a collection that reinterpreted function for every occasion,” said Andersson, the head of men‘s design at COS, “a collection where the tailored suit can take you from a business meeting to an art gallery opening in the evening.”

If the collaboration proves successful, there could be an extension into a second season, comments Mr Porter‘s senior buyer Sam Lobban. He added: “We have a lot of respect for [Cos‘s] ideals and integrity, which very much fall in line with ours; the quality and design is in a class of its own.”

The collaboration will mark just the second time in-which Mr Porter has ventured offline, after its one-day pop-up event in London in January in a joint venture with the film Kingsman: The Secret Service, which featured classic British tailoring on the likes of Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Caine.
