Mamas & Papas has appointed Richard Campbell as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Campbell will be responsible for all Mamas & Papas marketing and will report into Co-Chief Executive Jonathon Fitzgerald.

The new CMO will work on the brand’s advertising, ecommerce, store design and communications.

Campbell joins the maternity and infant brand from Rank Group where he served as the Customer Director for Mecca‘s retail and digital operations. His former successes include co-founding the Nectar card and NatWest‘s CashbackPlus loyalty cards, in addition to significantly aiding to the revival of Debenhams with award-winning advertising and sales promotions.

“Richard is a highly experienced retailer and marketeer, and his appointment further strengthens our management team. He joins us just as the turnaround at Mamas  & Papas is really gathering pace and he will play a key role in delivering our exciting and ambitious growth plans” said Executive Chairman Derek Lovelock.

Campbell‘s appointment follows a record Christmas trading period for Mamas & Papas where like-for-likes grew by 18% in the six weeks to 3 January. Mamas & Papas currently trades in 59 countries and has 34 stores with 1245 employees in the UK.
