Emerging online retailer Not On The High Street has appointed David Phillips as chief financial officer and a member of the executive team.

The news follows a series of recent hires for the etailer which aim to provide the business with financial expertise to implement its growth strategy.

Phillips was previously Matthew Clark’s group finance director, leaving after its sale to Conviviality plc.

Phillips has over 20 years of finance experience, with about 15 of those in senior roles including stints with Constellation Europe, Danisco and Spandex.

He also has experience in a range of industries in the UK and worldwide, including in retail, fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, and distribution.

Not On The High Street chief executive Simon Belsham said Phillips’ expertise would provide the etailer with strong financial and operations acumen.

“David joins us at an exciting time and he will be an excellent fit for the business, strengthening our growing management team,” he said.
