Five new retailers have been added to the Oxford Royal Exchange in an attempt to reposition the historic building as a luxury shopping destination.

The Grade 1 listed 16th century building situated in the heart of the City district in London will welcome five new high-end retailers by the end of the year, following an 18-month research period.

Jewellery retailer Halcyon Days opened its doors earlier this week, and will soon be joined by Aspinal of London who signed a five-year lease in the building after a successful Christmas pop up.

Other retailers joining the City’s only luxury shopping hub include fashion brands Orlebar Brown, TD Tom Davies and Grind & Co.

Oxford Properties purchased the 46,241sq ft building back in 2013, and have now come to the final stages of their planned transformation.

“The Royal Exchange is home to an unrivalled collection of contemporary and luxury brands, and is where the City converges to meet, eat and shop,” associate asset manager Jonathan Harley said.

“We are confident the introduction of Aspinal of London, Grind & Co, Orlebar Brown, Halcyon Days and TD Tom Davies will add a complementary offering to the products and services currently available within the iconic building.”
